We're all capable of doing anything in life that we want to do. As long as we properly plan, pray and stay focused on the end goal, everything we want to happen in our lives, will.

I've experienced this first hand at my recent event, The Goal Digger Workshop! I knew that I wanted to teach and show other female entrepreneurs, like myself, what I do to work towards accomplishing my personal and business goals every month. Aside from my willingness to succeed and my drive, I use visuals to create a guide that motivates me to never give up and to keep moving forward no matter what my current situation is.

There are so many obstacles and challenges that come our way that are unfortunately out of our control, but it's important for us to "take it like a grain of salt" and learn from it. Our individual journey's are the most important when it comes to entrepreneurship because they help us to grow into the people that we were meant to be. We have to go through certain things in order for us to understand and know how to handle it the next time it happens. Yes, it can get very frustrating and may feel like the world is on your shoulders but that's just a sign from God reminding you of your strength and that you will get through it.
My reasoning behind having an event like, The Goal Digger Workshop was mentioned in my most recent post "How Vision Boards Lead to Success" but my overall goal was to host an entrepreneurial based event for millennial, female entrepreneurs in the Baltimore area. I've learned so much in the past 5 years of running my business and I noticed that most of the networking events or seminars that I attended weren't even in my hometown. I am always either traveling to D.C or other surrounding areas to branch out and meet people in my industry. But this year, I knew something had to change. I've managed to meet so many talented individuals over the years who are also very successful in what they do and wanted to give others the opportunity to learn from them too.

So, I began planning The Goal Digger Workshop and even after two in a half months, I still feel like I needed more time. There were a few things I forgot to do and a few things I could, should and would have done if I had thought about it. But I would have never known these things have I not took that leap and had the event in the first place. I had a plan and my goal was to bring that plan to fruition by the end of the year. And with just 5 months into 2018, I made it happen.
Yes. Me. I coordinated an event that I created and planned myself. I can't help but think that this was all just an idea a couple of months ago that slowly transformed into something amazing and very rewarding. I saw a need and ran with it by creating my own opportunity and planning, of course.

How did I do it? I wrote down everything and everybody that I wanted to be included. I even wrote down possible venues, dates and a time. I soon began crossing things off my list that were completed and after securing the venue, I knew it was real and began promoting. It wasn't easy staying consistent with everything else that I was doing but I made it work.
I knew exactly what I wanted and went for it. I had planned events before but nothing of this caliber. Having actual panelists to speak was a little different then what I was used to but I'm happy each and everyone of them were eager to be a part. I really wanted each guest who attended to leave feeling fulfilled, ready to accomplish their goals and eager to attend the next workshop with a friend. At the end of the event, I heard so many amazing things from both the guests and panelists about how well the event went. This was definitely confirmation that this was something that was meant to happen. This was just one of many Goal Digger Workshops and I have plenty more ideas up my sleeve.

Even though everything didn't go as planned, I couldn't have been any happier with the outcome and pray that the next event will be even better. Stay tuned...
