The Style Chic Team came to slay at #NYFW

Of course we didn't let the rain/snow stop us from attending The Fashion Gallery at #NYFW!

We arrived in Manhattan around  10am Sunday morning to a cloudy city full of puffer coats and furs. It was about 30 degrees below freezing but that was pretty normal for a winter day in NYC. We ran across the street to the closest Pret-A-Manger and sat down for breakfast. As we planned out our day, we made sure that purchasing umbrellas were at the top of our list.

The next show wasn't until noon but we decided to make our way to the Stewart Hotel where the shows were taking place. We walked up the steps to the check in table and retrieved our badges. Even though they were labeled "Photographers" instead of "Stylists", we felt legit! We were able to get good seats for almost every show along with swag bags!

We loved each line that came down the runway but our favorite lines were from the emerging designers! The looks were so unique yet very on trend. From the clean lines to the textures and color palettes used, A/W 17' was definitely in the air.

I'm so glad we were able to link up with a few of our newest sisters in style, Tasha and Krystal. If you've been keeping up with our posts, than you remember these two cuties from our So Chic Sunday posts (Tasha McCaskiel + Krystal Benson).

Be sure to check out their sites!

I literally had no idea what I was wearing until the day before. I had way too many ideas going on in my head and I couldn't decide on just one. I knew I wanted to be cute, comfortable and warm. I was definitely cute and comfortable but far from warm. I'm not used to being outside as much and walking from place to place. My ankles were out and my neck was cold. If I could do #NYFW all over again but in another outfit, trust me I would!

But nonetheless, I love the mix of pastels and metallics. I've been looking for the perfect pink sneaker for awhile and I finally found a pair that I love right in time for the spring season. I can't wait to rock them with more looks!

We weren't able to spend much time at this seasons #NYFW but we're glad we were able to attend. September's fashion week is definitely on our radar for this year so we'll be back!
